Marjorie Workman

Licenced Lay Minister

I grew up in a happy, lively Methodist Church in Birmingham – S. School, Girl Guides, Choir, Youth Club etc.  After teacher training and marriage, we moved to Bromsgrove, and as the family arrived, transferred to a local Methodist Church so that the children could attend locally.  Here I became involved in Boys’ Brigade (amongst other things), and the faith I had grown up with took on new meaning – a recognition of the real, supporting presence of Christ on a daily basis – more strength and colour.  In 1994 we moved to mid-Wales to farm – bad timing (BSE and Foot and Mouth) but many happy memories.  Here I became involved in the local village Church and trained as a Reader.  We moved to the Teme Valley in 2005 for semi-retirement and closer proximity to family.  It’s good to be amongst lambs again this year – there is so much of God in nature.
